FREEZ Construction is proud to have played a critical role in the successful completion of the 116,000 SF Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) addition at Agile Cold Storage’s Gainesville, GA facility. Our team was responsible for the installation of the insulated metal panels (IMP), which formed the backbone of the structure’s thermal envelope, ensuring optimal insulation and energy efficiency for this state-of-the-art cold storage facility.
One of the significant challenges we encountered was the limited 20-foot proximity between the new ASRS structure and the existing building. This required precise planning and execution to maintain the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality throughout the installation process. Despite the tight space, our experienced crew delivered an exceptional result, exceeding the project timeline and client expectations.
The 125-foot-tall ASRS system, equipped with robotic stacker cranes and pallet moles, demanded a thermally tight and well-sealed environment to maintain sub-zero temperatures. FREEZ Construction’s expert installation of the insulated metal panels ensured maximum thermal performance, contributing to Agile Cold Storage’s goal of increased operational efficiency and productivity.
Our work on this project reflects our commitment to overcoming challenges and delivering high-quality solutions in the cold storage industry. This accomplishment stands as a testament to FREEZ Construction’s expertise in handling complex projects and our dedication to supporting innovative, high-tech facilities like Agile Cold Storage.
