Vince Free didn't start FREEZ because the construction industry needed another contractor. He thought it could use a better one.
Vince entered the industry straight out of college and has spent more than 20 years in controlled-environment construction—building projects, relationships, and a reputation for doing business a little differently.
As Founder and CEO, he stays close to the work and the people behind it. He's a former Chairman of CEBA, serves on the task force for the ICON Cold Storage Conference, and remains an active voice in the industry. But titles and industry involvement only tell part of the story.
Vince is a relationship guy at heart. He believes business should be personal, your word should mean something, and the people you surround yourself with matter just as much as the work you put in the ground. That philosophy became the foundation for FREEZ.
Today, Vince spends his time thinking about where FREEZ is going next, staying close to clients, pushing the team to think bigger, and making sure growth never comes at the expense of what made the company worth building in the first place.
